Fashonistas flock to Mallory Fashion Show to support cancer charity
Ladies of a benevolent nature with an eye for fashion flocked to the award winning Harbury Lane hotel for a sneak peak at this season’s must have pieces, whilst raising over £400 for people affected by cancer.
Guests tucked into a gourmet lunch with wines before eyeing up the latest trends from Dressini in Market Bosworth. The ladies later took part in a prize draw to raise funds and win goodies including flower arrangements, an afternoon tea at Mallory Court’s sister hotel The Arden in Stratford and a variety of prizes generously donated by fashion emporium Dressini.
Mallory Court also treated two of the cancer charity’s key volunteers to a free place at the event as recognition of how hard they work and how much time they give to support people affected by cancer.
The money raised at the event will go towards providing a new benefit’s advice service in Warwick for cancer patients, as well as continuing to fund the 70 health professional Macmillan provide across Warwickshire.
Karen Shortt, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan, said ‘I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of Macmillan to Mallory Court and Dressini for putting on such a wonderful event. A fantastic amount of money was raised which will go towards providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support to people living with cancer in Warwickshire. Our volunteers were over the moon to be invited and Mallory made them feel so special.
The location was beautiful, the food was delicious and all the guests had a wonderful time enjoying all of the lovely clothes and jewellery on show. We are extremely grateful to Mallory for all the support they provide Macmillan and we look forward to working with them over the next few months.’
