The Brasserie gains second rosette

10 May 10

The Brasserie restaurant in the grounds of Michelin star rated Mallory Court Hotel has won its own prestigious accolade.

The Brasserie has been awarded its second AA rosette. Mallory Court Hotel next door is renowned for its cuisine, having held the industries most coveted Michelin Star for 8 years and 3 rosettes under head chef Simon Haigh, amongst other accolades.

Now its affordably priced neighbour is getting in on the act.

“We are extremely delighted with this achievement” said Mark Chambers, Director & General Manager.   “Mallory Court has long been associated as one the areas premier dining venues and we introduced the Brasserie in order to appeal to a broader client base”.

Jim Russell, the Brasserie’s head chef, added “I feel very proud to have been part of this excellent achievement and is testament to the skill and hard work of the whole team”

The Brasserie at Mallory Court is part of the Eden Hotel Collection group of prestige hotels owned by Sir Peter Rigby, who has appeared in The Times 100 rich list, and who made his fortune in IT solutions.

Simon Haigh will also oversee the kitchens at the group's latest acquisition, The Arden Hotel in Stratford, located opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The joint venture with the Royal Shakespeare Company will open this summer after a multi-million pound redevelopment to transform the hotel into a 45 bedroom boutique style hotel.

Note to Editors:

The Brasserie opened in September 2005, and has a much more relaxed atmosphere and a less formal menu compared to fine dining in the main house. An art-deco style restaurant, with its own kitchens, private gardens and terrace, the Brasserie retains many of the features of the original cottage.   Al fresco dining and afternoon teas in the summer on the terrace overlooks the private gardens. Starters from £4 and mains from £10, The Brasserie offers superb quality and is open 7 days a week from April 5th 2010.
