The globally recognised accreditation celebrates businesses within the meetings and events sector that are making meaningful progress in eco-friendly practices, from greener delegate communications to more conscious food sourcing and locally rooted experiences.
The achievement comes as Mallory Court has seen a 15% increase in conference and meeting bookings over the past three months, compared with the same period last year, highlighting a growing demand from businesses looking to host events with sustainability in mind.
At the heart of Mallory Court’s meetings and events offering is Knight’s Suite, a flexible event space that can be divided into three separate suites and can accommodate up to 160 guests. Alongside this, the hotel’s manor house offers a collection of elegant private dining rooms, ideal for board meetings, intimate business lunches and corporate celebrations.
The Green Meetings Gold accreditation recognises Mallory Court’s wider approach to championing its local environment. This includes the launch of new delegate menus featuring ingredients from the hotel’s own kitchen gardens, such as herbs used in dishes including beetroot, feta and soft herb salad.
Delegates can also enjoy a sense of place through a range of local experiences available upon request. These include kitchen garden tours, beekeeping, falconry, duck herding and archery, as well as opportunities to work with local group travel providers such as Cotswold Tours.
The hotel’s pre-event communications were also praised by judges, with delegates encouraged to consider greener travel choices such as lift sharing, EV charging points and local transport links.
The award follows Mallory Court’s recent Green Tourism Gold accreditation, which recognises sustainable practice across the wider hotel and tourism industry.
Josefine Blomqvist, General Manager at Mallory Court Hotel & Spa, said:
“Our environment is precious, and businesses now more than ever want to be able to rightly demonstrate this mindset to their customers and their staff when hosting important meetings or away days.
“Our approach to sustainability has been evolving over the years to a point where we now have a healthy combination of sourcing cuisine locally, promoting green choices amongst our staff and guests, and providing interactive experiences within our grounds.
“Achieving Green Meetings Gold reflects the investment we have made in creating a more sustainable meetings and events offering, and it’s fantastic to see that recognised not only with this gold accreditation, but in our sales figures too.”
From away days and conferences to private dining and team experiences, Mallory Court offers businesses a thoughtful setting where sustainability, service and a strong sense of place come together.
