Mallory Court Hotel are now offering specialised spa therapy treatments for people who have experienced cancer with fully trained spa therapists. The Amethyst Trust have designed a signature training course to enable individual therapists, salons and spas to welcome people with experience of cancer into their business and to enjoy the amazing benefits of massage therapies. At Mallory Court, Helen Hill who is a fully trained Amethyst Trust therapist talks about Amethyst Trust and the training she has received, “I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to learn about cancer massage and to become an Amethyst Trust specialist. It is not always about offering massage or treatment to those with tired, aching muscles, or to those who have overdone it in the gym; it is about giving that person some ‘me time’ to be spoilt to, to have a bit of enjoyment. One kind gentleman said to me: ‘Thank you for allowing me to forget. For the last 90 minutes I have enjoyed being me.’ Since that comment, it has reminded me never to take a single day for granted and to enjoy every single moment.
Every day is precious.”
